Tonight - Ning and Pearson Answer Questions About the New Educator Program

Join me tonight for a live and interactive session with representatives from Ning and Pearson who will discuss the significant changes to Ning's pricing plans, how the changes affects educational networks, and the Pearson program to sponsor the new Ning "Mini" service level for education-focused networks.

Ning's new pricing plans go into effect tomorrow (July 20), and the grace period ends on August 20th.  Next Monday, July 26th, we'll hold a session asking for reports on alternative network services or solutions that different people have tried and what their experiences have been.

For the sake of clarity:  while I did consulting work for Ning at one time, and while Pearson and Elluminate (my employer) have different business ties, I have no personal interest in Ning or Pearson and this session is being held entirely for the benefit of the educational community.  Next week, during the demos on other networks, I will show LearnCentral, Elluminate's free social network for educators, but only as part of the larger picture of what alternatives are available for educators.

Date: Monday, July 19th, 2010
Time: 5pm Pacific / 8pm Eastern / 12am (next day) GMT (international times here)
